Business travelers and students are often at the mercy of their laptop computer’s remaining juice, since there are so many conference rooms, airplanes, and classrooms are woefully short on accessible battery power outlets. Then how long a laptop lasts on its internal battery is one of the most important considerations for notebook buyers.
Recent big improvements in laptop battery life are thanks to CPUs and other laptop computer components that are more power-efficient than ever. That’s especially true of Intel’s newest Core processors, which power many of the longest-lasting models currently on our list. The chip maker’s 10th Generation CPUs have mostly taken over our picks list, but 11th Generation ones should start to show up as 2021 progresses. Alternatives from Apple (the Apple M1) and Qualcomm’s Snapdragons are starting to make a showing too.
Notebooks with the best laptop battery life in 2021

ASUS Chromebook Flip C436 – ASUS says its laptop can last up to 12 hours per charge, which is a lot more than most portable machines. It has a 14-inch 1080P touchscreen, Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. That’s a very respectable amount of Asus a32-n56 laptop battery power for a Chromebook and will allow you to handle most tasks without slowing the machine down.
Resource-intensive work like photo and video editing will eat a lot more power than writing and editing documents. System settings like your display’s brightness will also make a big impact on the longevity of its battery.
